Go G: Maguma

(Maguma. One of the more famous underused monsters. He appeared in a 60's movie called Gorath, but he was only in it for a few minutes before he was killed by the military. The movie, though made in the sixties, took place in the 80's, so I thought, what's another decade? Also, he really is a much better candidate for a fight ing Alaska than a giant turtle, which was what happened in the animated series. It was the perfect spot to bring this rather interesting name.)

"Tatsuo!"

Eric ran up to meet the man he had become so acquainted with. He had only been away for most of the afternoon, but the time was pretty deep, with all the conversation.

"So?" The two stopped in surprise, for they both had said this in unison.

"You first." Eric said.

"All right. Well, how was your 'investigation'?"

"Really informative, I have to say. I ran into them all, and they had a lot more to say than I thought. They haven't seen each other in years, I found out."

The conversation went on as the two walked through the G-Force halls. THe sun was setting outside, giving an amber glow to the skylights and Mt. Fuji a short drive away. The two didn't care though, as it often is when friends talk.

"Alaska?"

"Yeah, Dr. Tatopoulos mentioned it, but I'm not sure what he meant."

"Well, to the best of my knowlege, and it's a bit limited in this case, HEAT was spending it's time tracking monsters from the San Francisco attack and the others, But, one day they were tracking a large sonar blip, monster sized, in the Bering Sea. They were enjoying the freedom, and the government employment.

Well, they ran into a cove off of Alaska. The blip was gone, and the island looked strange. There were scorch marks and signs of catastrophe all over, and there were traces of radiation present as well. They were confused, but they had wandered into a 'bad blast' zone. Not far from there, there was an atomic bomb test, and the nearby islands suffered in the fallout. The flora and fauna that survived mutated, some to massive sizes. Like the giant walrus occupying that cove that just so happened to not like Zilla being there. The two roared in defiance at each other, and HEAT tried to get out of the way.

IT wasn't much of a fight, really. Zilla was light and fast, but just couldn't damage the rippling mass of flesh the walrus weilded with impunity. ANd the walrus, now called 'Maguma,' if I recall, was strong and massive, but just couldn't strike the speedy iguana. But then, tabes turned in an unexpected way. A giant monitor lizard leaptout of the water at the walrus. But, was it a friend or foe?"
