Description

Hoplon Spec. 6

Code Name: Sharp as Nails

Quetzee

Creator: Dr. Rafiel Santo

Territory: South America & the surrounding isles

SIZE:

(height: 25 meters)

(length: 70 meters)

(weight: 15,000 tons)

Temperament: Passive, Inquisitive

INTELLIGENCE: Extremely High

Combat Style: Aerial, Weaponized, Physical

Abilities:

Osteokinesis: Like the other 1st batch of B.M.C.S. (Bio-Mutagenic Creature Solution) kaiju, Quetzee possesses control of her own bone structure. In her particular case, control primarily falls into the use of her fingers, which she extends to lengths akin to the finger bones of a bat. Using control over the 'feathurs' (furry feathers) and skin, she can make her four limbs veritable wings, allowing her to achieve flight. Another aspect of the mutation is heightened regeneration ability.

Intelligence: Possessing the combination of simian and parrot dna, the mutation possesses the highest intelligence of any known mutation, though she has yet to show signs of sentience, her ability to memorize tops that of most people.

Known Weaknesses:

Low Defense: Quetzee is not born to brawl. Her attacks are precise and quick, but a good hit can bring her down.

No Tact: The flying monkey is more than capable of speech, just not capable of good timing or choice of words. This mostly just serves to annoy caretakers and expose her position to enemies. It is theorized that this will cease with age and increasing numbers of consequential beatdowns from her allies.

Poor Night Vision: Quetzee, true to both of her sources of DNA, is blind after the sun sets. She is useless at these times, though efforts are being made to make up for this.

Interview with Dr. Santo

Well, if you must know why the guardian I was charged to create came so late, I will tell you. Because. . . you cannot rush art.

Yes, I have for many years been a true patron of the arts, both those successful and those not understood at this time. As such, when I was offered a chance to work something into this world, a new creature to walk the green earth, I was delighted to be bringing art into the world. I worked tirelessly all those days, weeks, and months, not knowing about the destruction of London and Mumbai until nearly a week after the latter happened. My condolences to the victims of the annihilation, assuming any survived at all.

Anyway, I wanted a beast that seemed born to be what it was. The other guardians, they do good yes, but they do not do perfectly, if you follow me. They were, and are, beasts. I wished to create a god.

I worked with the DNA of the most intelligent and most beautiful species of South America kept in private collections on my Galapagos compound. Thanks to the giant leeches a year ago it is nigh impossible to find native life untouched. We have launched expeditions, but results. . . they are just the skin and bones of the forest.

That aside, the creature was to be brilliant, intelligent, and truly beautiful. The beast hatched from an egg, a combination of Quetzal and spider monkey. I planned on reviving the greatest god of the southland.

But we encountered a problem. She was female.

Quetzalcoatl hardly fit the description of such a beast. A monkey in build, coated in downy fur, or maybe furry down, with an avian sort of face. My assistants had all been looking forward to Quetzalcoatl, but they knew that for a lady like her, such a beautiful beast, she needed a beautiful name. Thus Quetzee, (one of my assistant's doing as a sort of pet name, the girl took to it and starting repeating it) was born.

She proved capable, but snall overall. The serum gave her control of her bones, and she figured out the wings after watching birds and bats fly throughout my compound and glancing at the anatomy of a bat's wing. Now, she flies all over the place, but true art should be seen by all, and the skies are where she belongs.

Now, she will return after dark, though, her night vision is non-existant. It fits the whole sun-god theme, so I work with it in publicity.

Speaking of the public, could I call this interview short? I have to meet a colleague of mine. Dr. Arden, the man who refused to work with a serum, you know him? Well, he is a good friend, and he is bringing a group of monster researchers to my home to see my magnum opus. I just hope that news report of an entire remote farming village dying where they stood doesn't ruin the chance of a meeting. . . the weird part is, the plants and livestock, even the insects, all were dead too, like some perfect pathogen claimed them silently with no effect.

Anyway, I can't let that bother me. Good day to you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeehoo, it feels good to do this again. Its late where I am, but here you are with another of my Dark Hours files, the first in months, Quetzee.

She's appeared in my guardian sketches, but here she is in color at a younger age. I rather love the idea, though I played the sun god theme to its bones with her, even going so far as to utilize Lady Deathstrike's powers because she was japanese, and japan is the land of the . . . yeah. . . I think too much sometimes. ;p

Anyway, enjoy and comment at your leisure. I have some sleeping/ brainstorming (you call it dreaming :p) to do.

I have to say, that is one awesome man-made kaiju.

Would be interesting if she fought my Shenudgon? Both use more speed than pure strength mostly, Shenudgon knows martial arts.
