"Okay, then just what is Mothra?"

Lora knew there was no malice or scorn in Eric's words, but his buzzing curiosity could be a little hard to bear for the Elias priestess.

"Mothra," she said, "is our goddess. For she and she alone watches over Moll and I."

"Moll....your sister?"

"Yes. In fact, Mothra used to watch over all of the Elias. Our people, you see, are not originally from earth. We came from a place beyond memory, finding earth and making it home. But, we did not make it here on our own. We flew here, on the wings of the Father. But, the earth had it's own struggles. The time we came was too ancient for you to have in history, but already there was sign of a terrifying battle. The earth...had a guardian creature, but he allowed us to stay while he tended grievous wounds he had recieved in a previous battle. But, another terror was to land on earth, seeking destruction for itself. The guardian, and forgive me, but I was not born yet, so I could not tell you his name, flew off to battle the new threat. The battle was terrible, and many lives were lost. It was like watching a clash of the gods.

But, in the end, the wounds from a past fight made the guardian fall in defeat. And so our Father flew off to his aid, determined to aid their ally. But, when they arrived, it was too late. The great one had fallen, but he had one last golden egg to give. He gave his mana to our Father, relinquishing the right as the planet's guardian to Him. Then, the demon from space began to fight our Father, rending the earth itself apart. Finally, using the newfound ability to assimilate mana, our Father used his whole life in one attack, destroying both Himself and the great evil. But, they were not completely destroyed. Our father split into our God and Goddess, the Mothra. Mothra still bears the borrowed ability to assimilate mana, but cannot return it once absorbed. This is why the Mothra must always die. But, another is reborn with the leftover mana from the parent, but this cannot last forever. One day, the great one will take the mana back that was his. But, the great evil split into pieces as well. Two of those pieces were Garu and Mogu. The other two, well, it's best now if I continue the story."

Eric's only answer was silence as he intently stared at this strange small life in front of him.

Abilities:

-Greater ability to manipulate nature to her will than her normal kinfolk

-Able to fire concentrated beams of mana

-The scales from her wings act both as reflective agent and an irritant to enemies

-Can use mana to hyperspeed at mach 12
