"You are Eric Goldwin, are you not?" a deep voice permeated the darkness outside his door.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I am. And you-"
The door swung open with some force. Eric jumped back in surprise as a tall, dark haired man walked, or more so marched into his room. He was NOT your typical guest. Rather, he was rather unique. He was wearing an odd uniform, black and a bit of dark green, with an emblazoned capital G on the lapel. He wore transition sunglasses and, the scariest part of all. He carried a very real looking samurai sword at his belt.
"I am Captain Tatsuo Ayasake, G-Force 16th. And you are Eric Goldwin, former New York native, aspiring journalist and-"
"Whoa! Hold on!" Eric exclaimed. "Don't just barge in and-"
"Don't interrupt me."
Captain Tatsuo continued about his business, giving earful after earful until Eric began to run out of patience.
He finally started, "Hey, what are you doing here anyway?"

"You write about Godzilla."
That was all he said. Eric became even more confused, until he saw the mystery man pick up his unfinished rough draft. "This." He began reading.

"Yeah, well, so do about 30 people on the internet. What does that have to do with you barging in here?"
"Would you like to find out?"
It barely sounded like a question.
"Find out? Find out what?"
"How Godzilla was killed. Or why I'm here. Your choice."
"What?" Eric confusedly exclaimed. "Wha- How would you know that.?"
The man turned, put his fingers around the emblem on his lapel, and pulled it out. It was a large, steel capital G, chained to the jacket like a pocketwatch.
"I'm in G-Force. You know, the 'big, always dealing with monster' military faction. Yes, I happen to know just about everything when it comes to Godzilla. Now, do you want to know?"
Eric looked at the dominating G with something between curiosity and a bit of annoyance. In the end, nothing would get the guy to leave, and he did want to know.
"Fine. Tell me. Tell me everything."
"Everything?" Captain Tatsuo's eyes flashed for a moment, but then returned to their original enigmacy.
"Do you really want to know... everything? These past 55 years have been full of their share of drama with these monsters. It could take a long time to explain everything."
Eric had given up on arguing. He saw that flash in the captains eyes, and thought anything would help to get rid of this strange, sword weilding man.
"I have time. This could help me, now that I think about it."
"Alright. Now, to begin. Everything you have written up to Godzilla's death is correct. But, how he died is another matter. He was killed."
"Killed? By what?"
"A bio-weapon called the Oxygen Destroyer. It was developed by one Daisuke Serizawa."
"Oxygen Destroyer? Never heard of it."
"It was never used again. Dr. Serizawa burned all his records. And he died when he manually triggered it."
"Wow."
"Yes. He was a hero to all of us. But, his sacrifice alone was not enough. A second one appeared less than a year later. And this one was bigger, stronger, and much more angry."
"Yeah, I knew that. That's the one that melte-"
"Yes. Now, it was a real shock to people. Some thought it was the same creature, and for a long time, we couldn't disprove that, until we found the originals bones. But, all we had going through our minds was, How do we stop it?"
"And that's when we realized... something else was standing in it's way.

From the Notes of Eric Goldwin:

It is an age old practice, that the lesser should bow before that which calls himself king. And who are we to stop a king, from doing all that he wishes? What can we do but know the king? Do we pray for his favor, or plead to stay his wrath? In the end, when confronting a king, what can you? Kneel. . .or revolt?

Kenichi Yamane

In all the history of the mighty monster, there is not a one time where the name Godzilla has been stained. Attempts were made, yes, but none ever succeeded. Not Angilas in 1955, and not Destoroyah in 1995. This was a beast of supremacy, the one that made the time of the monsters an age of its own. This was, and forever will be, Godzilla, king of the monsters.

A beast that emerged from the coattails of the first Gojira not a year later, this was, to the Japanese people, a nightmare reborn. Many believed that the first Gojiran had not been truly killed, and was now back for revenge. This view was limited to the working class, though, the higher ups knew otherwise. The noteworthy thing was, this creature looked, and felt, different. It was bigger, it’s scales were a grayish color in contrast to the first's green scales, and it's firepower was clearly far above its predecessor.

First spotted by two pilots scoping out Osakan fishing routes, Godzilla was first found battling the monster Angilas on a small rocky island. The two fought their way into the city, and from that victory on, Godzilla would prove his kingship again and again and again.

History-wise, this is the monster to look to for abundance in files. The Futurian Log for their brief period of Gojirasaur study, noted that while one mating pair was studied frequently, there was another, an older male that stayed out of the younger’s way, keeping to himself. Later, when the island chain’s fauna would mutate, this Godzilla was not present for the first half of the fight with the Stranger. He would have his hands full battling a mutated alien organism that landed from space, causing the accidental atomic explosion to happen. This alien would later be known by the JSDF as Hedorah (which explains why Godzilla attacked it with such animosity in 1972).

Nonetheless, this Godzilla would wage war with Japan, according to the Shobijin, in order to exact revenge for the death of his brother. This vendetta would last for almost 10 years until his defeat at the hands of Mothra and her twins. After that, Godzilla simply wished to be left alone, until the influence of Angilas, Rodan, Mothra, and possibly even Zone Fighter, to make Godzilla think that a life with friends wasn't so bad. For a time, Godzilla appeared as a defender of Japan, fighter threats of all kinds for decades before settling down on a small island in the Ogasawara chain, his friends and 'son' his new happiness. Then the death of a friend, Rodan, would send him on a rampage across Japan once again, this time leaving nothing behind. The fights he would wage would gain and lose much, eventually his own life due to his reservoir of energy becoming warped and causing him to go into meltdown, dying before the eyes of many in Tokyo's ruins.

Yet this synopsis captures so little in just what this was. He was smart, capable of learning to manipulate his energy voluntarily (ie the 'nuclear pulse') and was capable of showing empathy and nurture. Though a bit gruff on the outside, and still harboring some hatred from the elderly Japanese, the children of the generation born after the first Gojira's attack, viewed him as a hero. Even after his death, his legacy lives on in his successor, who would prove to have the heart of a king in his own right. Though, in the end, I feel something terrible is on the horizon. There have been spotty accounts of sailors finding themselves in fog, and hearing a ghostly, yet familiar roar on the horizon. . .

(note: Hoo-rah! Next of the Go G revamps is done, and let me say, I am having fun with this! Alright, well, I figured with this guy I would try to take traits from both Showa and Heisei Godzilla, and combine them into one. Personally, I outdid myself on figuring out how to get a dark skin without obscuring the lines.)
