Fire Rodan

"Mt. Aso, if you didn't know, was the place where one of the first modern kaiju sightings occured. Well, now a swarm of Meganula was swarming over the place, as though they were looking for something. Turns out, there was another colony of Meganula in the mineshafts, which were closed down decades ago. The bugs apparently were looking for reinforcements, and they found them. But, when the bright light emerged from the mountainside, the bugs flew away a first, but they then flew towards it. They weren't as intelligent as Vagnosaurus, so this was just another energy signiature to them. They didn't expect that energy to suddenly focus into a thin beam of intense pressure and heat. Yes, the light 'attacked' them, and very few were left. And those very few didn't last long either.
Anguirus came out already, but this time, we were just flabbergasted. The peak burst open, and from the hole crawled Rodan. Again, a new Rodan. The first was killed by the military shortly after it's emergence, the second fled into the South Pacific, but was killed years later. What we didn't expect was for the possibility that the two had a child, who had been dormant in that mountain for decades. This was Fire Rodan, and he was out with a vengeance. Unlike Anguirus, though, there was no immediate punching bag for him, so he flew where his instincts told him to go.
Now, Godzilla was having different luck. Much slower than Rodan, He was getting a lot of energy drained from him by the bugs. He got a lot off by just loosing beam after beam, though it was just wasteful really. Apparently he didn't know how to use the nuclear pulse his father used so much, but it hardly mattered. DT was fired, and the battle ended. But not the way the JSDF envisioned. The plan was to destroy Godzilla and the bugs, but only the latter were gone. Turns out, there were so many of them that they formed a sort of canopy, unintentionally protecting the king from an untimely end.
Godzilla then turned. His senses told him these bugs had come from Tokyo. This was a coincidence, as he felt like heading that way anyway. There was something waiting for him there, and he felt like paying a visit."

Looks sleek, yet armored, fast, but powerful!
Everything that Rodan/Fire Rodan should be! The head itself is a thing of beauty, the crests don't look deformed as they do in many versions of any Rodan, in fact they are just plain awesome!
I am very impressed by the wings here, not only did you compromise between the "correct" pterosaur number or claws and the kaiju Rodan claws, but made them look strong enough to be used as weapons.
